In our school we have staff and students with severe life-threatening food allergies to peanuts, nuts, seafood and fish, called anaphylaxis. This is a medical condition that causes a severe reaction to specific foods or other materials, and can result in death within minutes.
We are asking that all parents ensure that they do not send seafood, fish, nuts or peanuts in their child(ren)’s lunches or snacks. Please check the food labels each time. As an added precaution, children should be encouraged not to share food.
If food is sent with seafood, fish, nuts or peanuts to school, we will try to contact you and request that an alternative lunch be provided. Thank you for your attention to keeping all of our staff and students safe.
