Carnaval was a tremendous success! First and foremost, the greatest thanks go to Mme Kherraji who did the Lions work (pun intended) of planning for this event. An event such as this takes many, many hours of planning.
Thanks also to the other staff involved in planning and making this day a success by running the stations and supporting students. Equally important, the many volunteers who gave their time to make the day a success by also helping to run stations and in many other ways too. The day would not have been nearly so smooth without your efforts. Finally, but no less importantly, thank you to Central‘s grades 7 and 8 students and staff who came over to help out on Thursday. They did an amazing job! Seeing the patience that they had to show at certain times, along with the energy they had to show at other times, was a wonderful thing to see.
A final thanks goes to all of our students who actively participated in the day! There really was something for everyone over the course of the stations that they participated in. The beaver tails were a massive hit and thank you to Ms. Beer who created hundreds of these tasty treats! Students definitely seemed to be getting tired towards the end of the third block and I bet many slept extremely well on Thursday night.
Bonhomme even made an appearance! I suppose we will never know who was behind the mask…
