Carnaval is back! After a few year’s hiatus, Mme. Kherraji and the Carnaval organizing team are excited to announce the return of Carnaval and all of its fun activities. Carnaval is a Quebec City tradition and a celebration of all things winter.
The date for LFPS’ Carnaval is Friday, February 17. Alternate dates (based on potential inclement weather or an unexpected warm up) are February 15 and February 24. Students will be involved in Carnaval activities throughout most of the day (nutrition break and recess times will remain the same) with almost all of these activities taking place outside. Students will need to be dressed for the weather; wearing layers and bringing spare clothing are both great ideas as clothing is likely to get wet over the course of the day. Please note that the date is subject to change due to weather conditions and activities in which staff are involved.
