Emergency Response Procedures in TLDSB Schools

posted in: Home Page News | 0

TLDSB is committed to providing a safe environment for all members of our school community. Although unlikely, the possibility of a major threatening incident in our school must be considered. The level of preparedness to deal with such an incident by the school staff, students, police, and parents/guardians will have a major impact on the outcome of the incident. Our school has an Emergency Response Plan as per School board policies and procedures. As per board policy we are required to conduct both lockdown and fire drill procedures a minimum of three times per school year. School staff are currently practicing the procedures with students as part of our school routines. We will be conducting our first lockdown and fire drills prior to the end of September. More information regarding Emergency Response in TLDSB Schools can be found on page 6 in your child’s agenda.
