Good evening Leslie Frost community,
Ms. Newman and I would like to welcome all of our returning and new families to our school! We hope that everyone in our school community had a fantastic summer. This was definitely one of the warmer summers in recent years; If you like sunshine and heat, this August was definitely for you! As we head into the school year, given that we are not an air conditioned school, we will be happy to see temperatures drop a few degrees.
Like everyone else, we hope that this year will be far less impacted by Covid than the previous 2 1/2 years. While we cannot predict what this year will bring, we will continue to address whatever comes with positivity and moving forward as best we can.
By now, hopefully all of our families received messaging from their homeroom staff. If you have not, please do not worry as staff will help guide your child to the correct teacher on Tuesday. A reminder that on Tuesday morning only parents and guardians are allowed on the schoolyard to help their child locate their homeroom teacher. On Tuesday afternoon and all days going forward, we ask that parents do not come on to the schoolyard either in the morning or during afternoon dismissal.
Both Ms. Newman and myself are definitely excited about being back this year and knowing the school’s routines to start! Also, for the first time in my career, I do not yet know all of the students’ names in
the school so it will be one of my goals to complete this this school year. Both Ms. Newman and myself have greatly appreciated the support shown towards us last year and we look forward to continuing to build those relationships.
I hope everyone has a wonderful long weekend and we will see all of our Lions back tomorrow.
