LFPS is very fortunate to traditionally have an active and involved School Council. Being involved in School Council can be an enriching and important way to contribute to your school community. We discuss items such as school safety, EQAO results and various educational issues. The School Council is an advisory group comprised of up to ten parents/guardians, two community representatives, the principal and one support staff representative.

Provincial regulations require elections for the new council take place during the first 30 days of the school year. If you would like to declare your candidacy, you can obtain a “Candidate Declaration” form from the office. Please return it to the school office no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2011. Please note that if there are more than 10 declaration forms submitted a process will be put in place to conduct a campaign, share candidate profiles and hold an election on Sept 21, 2011.
