Purple Day is an international grassroots effort dedicated to increasing awareness about epilepsy worldwide. On Friday (March 25th), please consider wearing purple in support of epilepsy awareness. (The official Purple Day is held on Sat., Mar. 26th) In 2010, people in dozens of countries on all continents except Antarctica worldwide participated in Purple Day.
Epilepsy affects over 50 million people worldwide or approximately 1 in 100 people. That’s more than multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy and Parkinson’s disease combined.
